Privacy Policy

Riot ID (voluntarily provided)

When you enter a Riot ID (e.g. PlayerName#TAG) to look up match history, track your week-over-week performance, or compare yourself against another player, that ID is used to retrieve publicly available match data (see "Match Data Source" below). We do not store Riot IDs on our servers. Your Riot ID may be saved in your own browser's localStorage so you don't have to retype it. This data never leaves your device.

Comparing Against Another Player

Features like Compare and Duo Chemistry let you look up a second Riot ID alongside your own — a friend, teammate, or rival. When you do this, that other player's publicly available match data (including stats derived from games you've played together, such as trade timing or party history) is also retrieved and displayed to you, the same way it would be if you searched for that player directly. We do not store either player's data on our servers, and the other player is not notified that you ran the comparison.

Riot Sign-On (RSO) — Coming Soon

Difflytics is in the process of integrating Riot Sign-On (RSO), Riot's official OAuth 2.0 authentication system. When RSO is enabled, signing in with your Riot account will be required to access match data. At that time, this policy will be updated to fully describe how your authorization and data are handled. You will be notified of any changes before they take effect.

Usage Data (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, device type, and general geographic region. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google Analytics may use cookies to track sessions. You can opt out via theGoogle Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

• Google Analytics cookies for anonymous usage analytics
• A secure HTTP-only session cookie to store your RSO token if you choose to sign in with Riot (this cookie is not accessible by JavaScript and is cleared when you log out)

We do not use cookies for advertising targeting or tracking you across other websites.

Match Data Source

Difflytics does not yet have direct access to the official Riot Games API — that application is pending approval. In the meantime, match data associated with the Riot IDs you search is retrieved through HenrikDev's Valorant API, a third-party service that aggregates publicly available Valorant match data originally sourced from Riot Games. Once our Riot API access is approved, Difflytics will fetch match data directly from Riot's servers instead, and this policy will be updated to reflect that change. Difflytics operates in accordance with the Riot Developer Policies. Difflytics is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or specifically approved by Riot Games. Valorant and all related names, marks, and assets are property of Riot Games, Inc.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous usage analytics. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Vercel

Difflytics is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect server logs including IP addresses for security and performance purposes. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
